I've been using a clindamycin gel and isotretinoin tablet for my acne and scars for about 12 days now, but my skin seems to be getting oilier and I'm not seeing much improvement. In fact, I feel like my acne is more noticeable. Do you think I should stop using them, or is this normal and I should give it more time?

Concerns about Clindamycin gel and Isotretinoin tablet.
Possible Reasons for Oily Skin and Lack of Improvement:
- Initial breakout: Isotretinoin can cause an initial flare-up of acne.
- Hormonal adjustments: Isotretinoin can affect hormone levels, leading to increased oil production.
- Clindamycin gel: Can cause skin dryness, but in some cases, may increase oil production.
Recommended Next Steps:
- Consult your dermatologist: Discuss your concerns and the lack of improvement.
- Do not stop medication abruptly: Consult your dermatologist before stopping or adjusting treatment.
- Consider adjustments to treatment: Your dermatologist may adjust the dosage or recommend additional treatments to control oil production and acne.
Maintain Good Skincare Habits:
- Use non-comedogenic products: Avoid products that clog pores.
- Keep your skin clean: Gently wash your face twice a day.
- Avoid picking or popping pimples: This can lead to further inflammation and scarring.

I'm wondering if there's a tablet that can help with skin whitening. Are there any side effects I should worry about while using it or even after? Could you give me some advice on this?
Certain tablets like Glutathione, Vitamin C, and Meladerm claim to promote skin whitening, but their effectiveness and safety vary, and potential side effects may include digestive issues, allergic reactions, and skin sensitivity, so consult a dermatologist before using any skin whitening tablets, as they can recommend safer and more effective alternatives, such as topical creams or professional treatments.

I've been having these boils on my buttocks and they're incredibly painful. I've tried a few medicines but they arent really helping. Could you please guide me on what to do? I'm feeling really uncomfortable and worried about this.
I recommend trying an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. Apply it to the affected area three times a day after cleaning the area with mild soap and water. Additionally, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen to help with the pain and inflammation. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry to promote healing. If the boils do not improve or if you develop a fever, please consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.
