I've been using Deriva BPO gel for my moderate acne, but after a week, I started to notice some redness. Now, the redness has gone down, but there's still this dark area around my mouth. Could this be hyperpigmentation from the gel, or might it be caused by something else?

View allI've been dealing with some really weird lip issues. It started with my lips swelling from top to bottom, and after a few days, they went back down. But then, they started darkening and eventually turned completely black. Now they're super dry and chapped and sometimes burn depending on what I put on them. I'm really not sure what's going on or what to do about it. Can you help me figure this out?
This sounds like a condition called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation of the lips. To help with the darkening, dryness, and chapping of your lips, I recommend using a lip balm containing hydrocortisone and sunscreen during the day. You can also apply a thin layer of hydroquinone cream at night to help lighten the dark pigmentation. Additionally, make sure to stay hydrated and avoid licking your lips, as saliva can further dry them out. If the symptoms persist or worsen, consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and management.

I've been using Lumise C gel for my acne marks and skin tan, but I'm also struggling with low vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels. Could these deficiencies be affecting my skin, or is the gel enough to help with my issues? I'm really concerned about how to get my skin healthy again. Any advice would be great.
Using Lumise C gel can help with your acne marks and skin tan. It contains Vitamin C which can help brighten the skin and reduce dark spots. Additionally, it can also help in collagen production which can improve skin texture. For your low Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D levels, I recommend taking supplements such as Neurobion Forte (Vitamin B12) and D-rise (Vitamin D) as prescribed by your doctor.
