I've got a bit of a dilemma here. When I was a kid, I came down with typhoid, and my doctor had me take roxithromycin. Not long after, I noticed a little white spot on my skin and ever since then, I've avoided that medication. Now, I'm down with fever, cough, and a cold, and another doctor has prescribed me roxid 150. I'm really worried about taking it because of my past experience. Do you think it's safe for me to take, or should I consider an alternative? Would love some guidance here.

Roxid 150 is also a form of Roxithromycin, so it may not be suitable for you if you had a reaction to it in the past. An alternative antibiotic that can be considered for your current symptoms of fever, cough, and cold is Azithromycin. You can take Azithromycin 500mg once daily for 3 days. However, it is important to consult with your doctor before starting any new medication to ensure it is safe and appropriate for you.

I've been dealing with keratosis pilaris for nearly a decade, and I've tried everything, including chemical peels. It's all over my shoulders, legs, thighs, and buttocks. I'm looking for a doctor who can help reduce its appearance. Plus, I've started experiencing a lot of hair fall and have lost a significant amount of hair. Any advice on managing these issues?
Consider consulting a dermatologist specializing in keratosis pilaris, who may recommend customized treatments such as microdermabrasion, laser therapy, or intense pulsed light (IPL) to reduce visibility, and also investigate the hair loss, potentially related to keratosis pilaris or an underlying condition, to develop a comprehensive treatment plan addressing both concerns.

I'm really concerned about my face turning darker and more oily since I moved to Bangalore. My skin used to be wheatish, but over the past 1.5 months, it has almost turned completely black. It's really upsetting because it's only affecting my face, and nothing I've tried, like washing or whitening creams, is making a difference. I usually just use mild soap and never really used facial creams for anything else. I'm not sure who to ask about this, even though I bumped into an Ayurveda doctor last week who noticed my skin change but didn't suggest anything to fix it. Any advice on what might be happening or how to get my skin color back would be really helpful.
