I've had an ACL injury that doesn't seem to be healing properly - my knee still makes popping sounds and hurts when I try to move it. I can't bend my knee all the way or climb stairs without pain. Should I consider surgery for this?

I've had ACL and meniscus surgery back in August, and then in December, I slipped and fell. My knee's not swollen, but it bent all the way back, which hurt for a couple of days. It's been a few weeks now, and I'm back at the gym. I'm pretty sure it's not my ACL, but I'm worried about the meniscus. There are minor pains, nothing too severe, but I don't have health insurance. I can jog and jump, but there's something a bit off in my knee. How can I tell if I might have torn my meniscus?

it's been 6 weeks since my acl and meniscus surgery - can i ditch the knee brace and crutches now and start climbing stairs normally?

However, at 6 weeks post-op, you might be able to gradually decrease reliance on the knee brace and crutches, but you should not start climbing stairs normally yet.
