I've had back pain for over 4 years and struggle with bending or sitting for long. Sometimes the pain gets so bad it even affects my breathing. My MRI showed a bulging disk at L4 and doctors recommended surgery, but I'm really nervous about going under the knife. Are there any other treatment options I could try first?

View allI've been dealing with really bad pain in my back, thighs, and legs along with headaches. I got two spine injections but they didn't help at all. Now the doctor is suggesting spine surgery as the last option. Is surgery really necessary or are there other treatments I could try first?
While surgery might be the next step after injections haven't provided relief, it's worth exploring other treatment options before committing to it. Non-surgical treatments like physical therapy, pain management techniques, and lifestyle adjustments should be considered. A second opinion from a spine specialist could also be beneficial to ensure all available options are explored.

My father had subdural hematoma surgery two months ago and the doctor said CSF is collecting in his brain, so they did a lumbar puncture twice in two days. Is lumbar puncture usually used to treat CSF buildup? Now I'm noticing a deep dent in his skull should I be concerned about that?
neurosx opinion is advised to the pt.

I've had lower back pain for two years due to a herniated disc at L3L4 and L4L5. Doctors recommended surgery but I'm wondering if it can be treated without surgery at your clinic. Right now I can't stand for more than 10 minutes
