Ive had a cough with mucus for the past 15 days. It's gotten a bit better, but its still there. Should I be worried about this, or get a chest X-ray? And is there a chance my 1.7-year-old baby could catch it from me?

View allI'm worried about my dad because he's been dealing with this really bad fever, cough, and phlegm for over a week now. The doctor said it's BronchoPneumonia after looking at his test results. His CRP was 225, and both his chest x-ray results showed increased bronchovascular markings and prominent hila in the lungs. He's been on Augmentin 625 for five days, which seems to help since his fever dropped to 99 and CRP is now 51, but the x-ray looks the same. Is it normal for the x-ray not to show improvement yet? Should I be worried about something else, and how long does it usually take to see changes in the x-ray?

I'm reaching out because I previously asked about this and got a response saying that the Seretide Accuhaler has no side effects. But my brother has been using it, and he's having a tough time with what seem to be side effects. I'm really worried and wondering if there's an alternative treatment he could try. Can you help with some advice?
