I've had esotropia squint eye since childhood and recently found out surgery might be an option. Is squint surgery really the best treatment with no risks or are there other alternatives I could consider? I'm not happy with how it looks and want to explore solutions.

Squint surgery (strabismus surgery) is a common and often effective treatment for esotropia, but it's not a perfect solution with no risks. While surgery can correct eye alignment and improve binocular vision, there are other non-surgical options to consider, and potential risks associated with surgery should be discussed with your doctor.

View allI've been using preservative-free lubricant eye drops for about 10 months after my LASIK surgery and I'm wondering if long-term use is safe for my eyes. Are there any side effects I should be aware of with either preservative or preservative-free drops? I'm a bit concerned about potential harm from using them for so long.
It depends. Every LASIK patient experiences different levels of dryness and can use preservative-free eye drops after LASIK until the dryness abates. However, if you experience extreme and persistent dryness, do bring it to the attention of your doctor.
