I've had two cyst lumps in my groin for about a year now and want to get rid of them. They don't hurt or itch - is there any way to remove them without surgery?

My dad is 55 years old and has an umbilical hernia with frequent stomach aches. He weighs 95 kg and has a large potbelly clearly overweight. One doctor suggested he needs to lose weight before surgery so the mesh can be placed properly. Should we wait for him to reduce his weight and belly first, or is surgery urgent? What's the best approach here?
surgery opinion is advised to the patient.

I had a deep wound about 4 inches long and 3 inches deep after my pilonidal sinus removal. It's been 20 days and the wound is still open my doctor suggested flap surgery but I'm hesitant to go under the knife again. If the wound heals on its own over time, could there be any long-term issues compared to getting stitches or surgery? I'm worried about complications later in life if it heals naturally
Elements that delay healing include infections and suspected causes such as poor hygiene and wound care choices, physical activity causing increased friction and shearing forces, and obesity.
