I've noticed this pea-sized lump above my left collar bone, and it's really movable. It only seems to show up when I'm in certain positions. I'm starting to get worried. I had an abdominal scan about eight months ago, and everything looked fine back then. Could you help me figure out what this could be?

I'm worried about an abscess I have that has turned black. Does that mean it's healing or getting worse? My doctor suggested waiting for 3 days, but I'm still concerned. Can you help me understand what's happening?

If an abscess turns black, it may indicate that the tissue is dying or undergoing necrosis, which could signal an infection is worsening. However, it could also mean the abscess is draining and healing. It's good that your doctor wants to monitor it for a few days to see how it progresses.

I noticed a small 6mm defect in the linea alba right above my belly button with some fat poking through but no bowel loops. Is there any way to fix this without going under the knife? I'm a bit worried about it getting worse

A 6mm defect in the linea alba with fat protruding but no bowel loops likely indicates a small epigastric hernia. While surgery is the standard treatment, watchful waiting may be an option for small, asymptomatic hernias. You can also try temporary solutions like wearing a hernia belt or truss, holding the area when straining, and avoiding heavy lifting. However, it's crucial to consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis and to discuss the best course of action for your specific situation.
