I've noticed some changes in my skin color with different soaps. Normally, my skin tone is cream-colored, but using Santoor soap seemed to make it lighter and better. However, when I switched to Mysore Sandal soap, my skin started looking darker. Someone mentioned that Santoor soap is meant for women, so I stopped using it. Can you suggest a different soap that might help my skin get back to its original color? I'm really curious and a bit concerned about how this keeps happening.

Soap preference can be personal and skin-type dependent.

To help you find a suitable soap, consider the following:

  1. Look for soaps with natural ingredients: Soaps containing ingredients like coconut oil, olive oil, or shea butter can be gentle and nourishing.
  2. Avoid harsh soaps: Soaps with high pH levels or containing harsh chemicals can strip your skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness and darkening.
  3. Opt for fragrance-free or hypoallergenic soaps: These soaps are less likely to contain irritating ingredients that can affect your skin tone.

Some soap options you can consider:

  1. Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar
  2. Nivea Soft Moisturizing Soap
  3. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser
  4. Himalaya Herbals Gentle Bathing Soap

I'm 26 years old and I've been dealing with Alopecia Areata. My dad's bald and I'm starting to see the bald areas emerging too, especially on the crown of my head. My hair seems to be falling out in a pattern more and more these days. Is there anything that could help me avoid going completely bald, at least for the next five years?

I recommend you start using Minoxidil solution 5% twice daily on the affected areas. Additionally, you can take Finasteride 1mg tablet once daily to help prevent further hair loss and promote hair regrowth. These medications can help slow down the progression of balding and maintain your hair for at least 5 years.

I had chicken pox a couple of months back, and now I've noticed my scalp is really dry. Just today, I lost several hairs from the area where the pox marks were. I'm worried if the skin will eventually regenerate hair in that spot. Could this be a long-term issue?

yes
