I've recently had a CT angiogram done and I'm a bit worried. Are there any side effects I should be aware of related to the heart? Could you provide some guidance on what to expect afterward? I'm open to any advice you might have.

CT angiograms are generally safe procedures with minimal side effects. However, some potential side effects may include allergic reactions to the contrast dye used, kidney problems in patients with pre-existing kidney issues, and radiation exposure. It is important to stay hydrated after the procedure to help flush the contrast dye out of your system. If you experience any unusual symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or severe allergic reactions, please seek medical attention immediately.

View allI've been experiencing some chest pain on the left side where my heart is, and sometimes it even happens on the right side. It doesn't stop there though; I've noticed random pains around my body, especially in my left arm and a bit in my left shoulder. I went to the doctor, and she told me my hearts fine and suggested it might be Acid Reflux. But I'm still worried because I've read that pain in the left arm and shoulder can signal a heart attack. Should I be concerned or look out for anything else?

I'm feeling a bit worried because every time I move my left hand, I get this sudden cramp in the center of my chest. A couple of years back, I had an ECG, an echo, and a TMT done, but everything was normal. I also had an endoscopy, which only showed H. pylori. This pain has recently started again, and I'm not sure what it means. Could it be related to the H. pylori, or should I be concerned about something else?

I'm really concerned about my dad. He's 55 and dealing with diabetes and high blood pressure, and he was told he needs to decide about a second open-heart surgery. The first one he had was an off-pump coronary artery bypass using a vein from his leg. He's supposed to have this new surgery by the end of the year. Can you help me understand what kind of risks he might be facing with this surgery?
Infection, bleeding ,allergic reactions and headache are some of the complications of the surgery.
