I've recently noticed some changes around the head of my penis. Last month, I had a shiny rash that went away on its own, but the head stayed red. There are also these pink papules on the penis ring, and my foreskin has been really sticky with some white stuff inside. I wash with soap every day, but now the skin on the head has become erosive and starts peeling. Im also using coconut oil, but now even the tip is peeling. What's strange is that it doesn't itch or hurt, and theres no sore or lesion. What could be going on?

Based on your symptoms, it's possible that you experienced a self-limiting condition, such as:

  1. Irritant contact dermatitis (reaction to soap)
  2. Balanitis (inflammation of the penis head)
  3. Posthitis (inflammation of the foreskin)

To promote healing and prevent future occurrences:

  1. Discontinue using harsh soaps; switch to gentle, fragrance-free cleansers.
  2. Apply coconut oil or a topical emollient to soothe the skin.
  3. Avoid excessive washing or rubbing.
  4. Consider consulting a dermatologist or urologist for proper evaluation and guidance.

In the meantime, maintain good genital hygiene:

  1. Clean the area with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
  2. Pat dry; avoid rubbing.
  3. Apply coconut oil or a topical emollient to keep the skin moisturized.

I've been using virgin coconut oil on my scalp, and it's been really itchy afterward. Could you help me understand what might be causing this and what steps I should take to fix it?

The problem could be an allergic reaction or irritation to the coconut oil. I recommend you stop using the coconut oil and try using an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to help with the itching. You can also take an antihistamine like cetirizine (brand name Zyrtec) to help reduce the itching. If the itching persists or gets worse, please consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.

I'm getting married on December 23, and I'm worried because my skin just isn't glowing. It seems really dull no matter what I try, and nothing is working. Do you have any suggestions for a medical facial that could help bring back that glow?

SPF 30 can be used.

I'm really worried about these red, itchy, dry scars on my face that appeared after I cried a lot the other day. It's like wherever my tears rolled down, now it's all irritated and then it turned dark and still itchy. What can I do to get rid of this?

Gently cleanse and moisturize your skin to keep it hydrated and help the healing process. Use soothing ingredients like aloe vera, and apply sunscreen daily to prevent further pigmentation issues. If the rash persists, consider using a hydrocortisone cream for a short period to reduce inflammation. Be patient, as it may take time for the dark spots to fade. With proper care, the irritation and pigmentation should heal, but if things dont improve or worsen, a consultation with a dermatologist would be helpful.
