I've recently stopped using Medisalic, which I'd been using for a couple of years due to a skin allergy. I'm looking for some cream and face wash options that won't have side effects and can help keep my skin healthy and glowing. Can you suggest anything?

The treatment for fungal infection is simple. You have to take anti fungal tablets and creams for 4 to 6 weeks following which it resolves. Do not apply soap on that area and do not self treat with over the counter steroid creams. Mistreatment with steroid creams like panderm, fourderm, betnovate, candid b etc and self treatment with cheaper generic medicine is the most common reason for recurrent disease. Another cause of recurrence is cross infection from other infected people in the house.

Don't worry, having black lines beneath your nails doesn't necessarily mean you have skin cancer. In Indians and people with darker skin tones, these lines are quite common and usually harmless . However, it's always best to get a professional opinion to rule out any underlying conditions.
