Knee get swollen repeatedly, doctors effused that fluid every time. Recently effusion were done 15 days before and again swelling appeared. No test report shows any positive result of arthritis, we have done HLA test too. What to do? Father is on medication taking pain killers.

Recurrent effusion with negative arthritis markers may be due to mechanical causes or crystal arthropathy. Consider synovial fluid analysis and rheumatology follow up.
