Living in a 20-story apartment building, I use the stairs twice a day as exercise that's 40 floors or around 500 steps. It's convenient for me as a working mom, but people keep warning me it could lead to knee replacement issues later. Is climbing stairs really that bad for my knees? Could it cause long-term damage?

I'm a bit worried because yesterday I collided with someone while playing football and hit my chest pretty hard with my fist. I used a cold pack right away, and the pain seemed to lessen, but this morning it was back just as bad. There's no redness or pain when I breathe, but if I move or stretch, like getting out of bed, it really hurts. Sometimes it even hurts when I cough hard. I've been taking dolo after meals in the morning and at night, and I'm using belladonna plaster along with hot water pack treatments twice a day. Should I go see a doctor right away, or is it okay to monitor the pain a bit longer? Am I doing the right things with the medicines and treatments?
if pain is reduced, then no need to visit the doctor
