View allI've had an abscess in my right breast for about three years now, and I've noticed something that's been worrying me. My right breast seems bigger than the left, and I've also lost sensation in the nipple. I'm wondering if this is due to the abscess or if there could be something else causing it?
Surgeon opinion is advised to the patient.

I had a deep wound about 4 inches long and 3 inches deep after my pilonidal sinus removal. It's been 20 days and the wound is still open my doctor suggested flap surgery but I'm hesitant to go under the knife again. If the wound heals on its own over time, could there be any long-term issues compared to getting stitches or surgery? I'm worried about complications later in life if it heals naturally
Elements that delay healing include infections and suspected causes such as poor hygiene and wound care choices, physical activity causing increased friction and shearing forces, and obesity.
