Hi, I was diagnosed with malaria 14 days ago and 2 days before, malaria was not detected in my blood report. I was discharged from the hospital. I am 68 years old. But even after discharge, I am still getting fever of 101 to 102 degrees C. Also, fever is observed only on the head, whereas the body is cold. Please suggest. Your opinion would be much appreciated. Hi, I am 5 months pregnant with my first baby. In my recent blood test, my platelet count has risen to 700,000, and my WBC is 11,200, which seems high. My doctor has advised me to do PT, APTT, INR, and Hb electrophoresis and to consult a hematologist. This is the first time my platelet count has been elevated, my last report was completely normal. Could this change be related to pregnancy? I am unsure how to proceed and would like guidance, as all my other reports are normal.
