My 4.5-year-old son is dealing with some breathing issues, and it seems like hes always breathing through his mouth due to enlarged adenoids. The ENT suggested surgery, and now I'm trying to wrap my head around this whole thing. What's this surgery about, particularly using the coblation technique? Is it really different from the normal surgical method? I'm torn between the two options and wonder if there are any side effects with the coblation technique. Any insights would really help!

Considering a shift from conventional to homeopathic treatment for thyroid issues.
Homeopathy and Thyroid Treatment
Homeopathy can be a complementary approach to managing thyroid symptoms, but it's essential to understand its limitations.
- Symptom management: Homeopathy can help alleviate thyroid-related symptoms, such as fatigue, weight gain, or mood swings.
- Hormone regulation: Homeopathic remedies may help regulate thyroid hormone production, but this is not a guaranteed permanent cure.
Permanent Cure for Thyroid
A permanent cure for thyroid issues is often not possible, as thyroid conditions can be chronic. However, with proper treatment and management, it's possible to achieve:
- Remission: Thyroid hormone levels can return to normal, and symptoms can subside.
- Stable hormone levels: With ongoing treatment, thyroid hormone levels can remain stable, reducing symptoms.
Shifting from Thyrofit 50 to Homeopathy
Before making any changes to your treatment, consult your endocrinologist or a homeopathic doctor. They will help you:
- Assess your thyroid condition: Evaluate your current thyroid hormone levels and overall health.
- Determine the best approach: Decide whether homeopathy can be a suitable complementary or alternative treatment for your thyroid condition.
Remedies and Treatment
Some common homeopathic remedies for thyroid issues include:
- Iodum: For hypothyroidism and thyroid enlargement.
- Fucus vesiculosus: For thyroid issues, particularly hypothyroidism.
- Spongia tosta: For thyroid problems, including hypothyroidism and goiter.

View allI've had really bad ear pain for the past 3 days and an ENT doctor said there's an infection. I took the medicines and ear drops they prescribed but nothing's helping. They mentioned I might need surgery - is that really necessary or are there other options we could try first? The pain isn't getting better and I'm worried about what to do next.
It's understandable to be concerned about persistent ear pain and the possibility of surgery. While surgery might be an option in some cases, it's not always the first step, and there are other approaches you can explore. If the infection persists despite medication, it's important to discuss your options with your doctor, including potential alternative treatments and the specific reasons why surgery might be considered.

I've noticed this lump in my throat right above my Adam's apple, and I'm not really experiencing much pain. I do feel a slight twinge when I swallow though. Should I be worried about this?

My CT scan shows soft tissues filling almost all of my left maxillary sinus and less than half of the right one. What should I do next is surgery absolutely necessary or are there other options? I'm a bit worried and not sure what this means for me.
