My baby is 1.6 years old. Last week, he had fever, cold, and cough. Now, the fever has subsided and he only coughs occasionally, but I have noticed that he is more cranky than usual and sleeps a lot. Is this normal post-viral behavior, or should I be concerned about his activity level? I am a bit worried. I have attached his blood report for your review.

After fever, some children may feel weak or sleep more. If appetite is poor or activity is low, get a pediatric follow-up. Blood tests like CBC and CRP can help rule out lingering infection.

View allHello Doctor, my reports consistently show normocytic, mildly hypochromic RBCs, and I am concerned about what this means. I am pregnant and currently taking iron supplements and bifolate tablets, yet the results have not changed. Does mildly hypochromic indicate anemia, and should I consider getting a thalassemia test done?

I get frequent colds. As far as I know, a typical cold lasts up to seven days, but in my case, it lasts for many days. I have had this problem since childhood. I do not know why this happens. Should I go for a medical checkup, or is any test required?
