My baby is 6 months old and has had a fever for the last 5 days. After consultation, we did a urine test. The report shows albumin as traces and pus cells 8 to 10. I want to know if this is a matter of concern and, on a general basis, how long it usually takes to recover after starting treatment.

Pus cells and albumin suggest UTI. Early treatment usually resolves it quickly in 5 to 7 days. Please confirm with a Urine Culture and Sensitivity test. Take the test immediately.

View allI had a UTI and was treated with cefixime 400 mg twice a day for 7 days. Here are the results of my repeat urinalysis: color yellow, transparency slightly turbid, specific gravity 1.010, reaction pH 5.0, sugar/albumin/protein negative, WBC pus cells 8 to 12 hpf, RBC 0 to 2 hpf, epithelial cells moderate, and bacteria few. What does this mean?

My report shows pus cells 10 to 15 per HPF and RBCs 2 to 3 per HPF. I am a 29 year old woman and I am taking the following medicines: Rekool L 25, Q max 200 mg, and Surbex XT. Is this okay or do I need more tablets?

Hi, my wife and I went on a 12 days international vacation and were scheduled to go for our 12 week pregnancy scan immediately after returning. We had a long international flight and got the scan and urine test immediately. While the NT scan and other reports are fine, the urine report shows 6 to 8 pus cells with a urine pH of 8. Is this possibly due to temporary dehydration from travel or is it something more serious? My wife does not have any other symptoms and is fine. We are asking this since we can only meet our doctor in a wee time. Thanks.
