My blood report shows a high eosinophil count of 18.9 percent. What does this indicate, and should I be concerned? Is it something serious or alarming?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
An eosinophil count of 18.9 is higher than normal and usually suggests an allergy, parasitic infection, or sometimes a chronic condition. It is not necessarily alarming, especially if you are otherwise feeling well. Your doctor may investigate the underlying cause and guide you accordingly.
