My blood report shows a high eosinophil count of 18.9 percent. What does this indicate, and should I be concerned? Is it something serious or alarming?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
An eosinophil count of 18.9 is higher than normal and usually suggests an allergy, parasitic infection, or sometimes a chronic condition. It is not necessarily alarming, especially if you are otherwise feeling well. Your doctor may investigate the underlying cause and guide you accordingly.

Initially red, some rashes developed pus, and after 2 days, some turned magenta, especially after wearing jeans all day. In my locality, there are many insects, including large mosquitoes. My blood test report shows: Hemoglobin: 14.7 Polymorphs (Poly): 72 Lymphocytes: 21 ESR: 10 Other parameters: Normal Please advise what might be causing these rashes and the next steps or treatment.
