My brother was dealing with tuberculosis, and he finished his medication a few months back. But now, he's having this pain in his lungs, especially when he yawns, takes deep breaths, or sneezes. This started after he completed the medication course, and it's got me a bit concerned. It's been three months since he stopped the treatment. Any idea what could be causing this?

I'm really worried about my TB diagnosis. It's been three months since I found out I have tuberculosis, confirmed by an FNAC test with these zn and he stains. But a different doctor mentioned I should get tested with GMS or PAS stains, to check if it's related to fungi. I'm struggling to find labs that offer these specific tests. Do you think it's necessary to explore this angle, and could you help me figure out where to get these tests done?

To find labs offering GMS (Gomori's Methenamine Silver) or PAS (Periodic Acid-Schiff) stains for TB confirmation: Government Laboratories 1. National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD) 2. Regional Tuberculosis Training and Research Centre (RTTRC) 3. State Tuberculosis Centers Private Laboratories 1. Metropolis Labs 2. SRL Diagnostics 3. Quest Diagnostics 4. Thyrocare Online Platforms 1. Medlab Services 2. LabCorp Contact Methods 1. Visit laboratory websites 2. Call helpline numbers (e.g., TB Helpline: 1800-3000-2737) 3. Consult your treating doctor for referrals Additional Tips 1. Verify lab credibility and accreditation 2. I've had asthma since I was a kid, and I used to be on Budecort 200 daily and Asthalin occasionally. But over time, I stopped using inhalers. Now, I find myself getting a wheezing cough maybe five or six times a year. Is it a good idea to start using inhalers again, or should I avoid them? I'm really hesitant to go back on them. What do you think?

Yes,continue same treatment as advised by the physician.Patient is advised tab levocetrizine 10 mg orally,at bedtime for 5 days .
