My dad is 45 and has been having ear problems with mucus discharge every other day. We saw an ENT doctor who said both ears might need surgery. I'm not sure if surgery is really necessary or if medications could help instead. Also, if surgery is needed, does it have to be for both ears or just one? Can you check the reports I've attached and let me know what you think?

If both ears have chronic discharge and failed medical treatment, surgery like tympanoplasty may be needed; one or both ears can be treated depending on disease severity.

I'm really worried about my 5-year-old son's frequent nosebleeds. It's been happening for about a month now, and even though the amount of blood isn't much, sometimes it happens twice a day. We saw an ENT doctor around 15 days ago, and they said it was anterior and suggested using paraffin drops and saline. It did help a bit at first, but then the nosebleeds started becoming more frequent again over the past few days. He's currently taking Oleptal DT 150 twice a day for childhood epilepsy. Do you think we should go back for another check-up?

I've had my ears blocked for the past 4 days, and I think it might be due to a cold I had. Not completely sure, though. It sometimes feels like there's water or some fluid in there, and occasionally, when I sneeze, the blockage goes away for a few seconds, but then it comes back. There's a little pain too, which is why I've been taking oxalgin tablets and using drep ear drops. What could be causing this, and should I be doing something different?

It sounds like you may be experiencing Eustachian tube dysfunction due to your recent cold. To help relieve the blockage and pain in your ears, I recommend taking a decongestant like Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) to help reduce the swelling in the Eustachian tubes. You can also try using a nasal spray like Afrin (oxymetazoline) to further reduce congestion. Additionally, continue using the Otrivin ear drops for relief. Make sure to follow the recommended dosage instructions for each medication. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it would be best to consult with an ENT specialist for further evaluation and management.

I've been experiencing this weird clicking sound in my nose when I'm lying down and resting. It sounds like a computer mouse click, and it's been going on for about six months now. It hasn't caused any problems, but I'm really curious about what it might be. Can you shed some light on this?

That could be nasal drip,it's natural no need to worry.
