My dad is 55 and his MRI scan shows a brain tumor. The doctor recommended surgery and wants him admitted by Monday for quick treatment. Is surgery really necessary in this case? I'm worried and would like a second opinion from a neurosurgeon on whether this is the best option.

Yes, a prescription mentioning craniotomy for hemorrhage can be used for medical leave, but a detailed certificate from the treating doctor is better.

my mri report shows grade 1 anterolisthesis of l5 over s1 with a break in the pars interarticularis of l5 vertebral body - does this condition usually require surgery or can it be managed without it
Grade 1 anterolisthesis with pars break often managed with rest, brace, and physiotherapy—surgery only if pain/numbness persists or worsens.
