My dad lab report shows fasting glucose 180 mg and postprandial glucose 235 mg. What does this mean and what should we do next?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Fasting glucose 180 mg per dL and PP 235 mg per dL fall in the diabetes range. See your doctor to start a proper diet and exercise plan. Anti diabetic tablets may also be needed. An HbA1c test will show your 3 month sugar average. Regular monitoring of sugar levels at home using a glucometer is advised to track progress and adjust treatment.

View allMy father has been having diabetes for the last 3 years but he never consulted any doctor. From the blood report we came to know that his sugar level is above 350. He is also having teeth sensitivity problems but the doctor said sugar must be reduced first, then only treatment can be done. In Dehradun I am unable to find any doctor for diabetes? Please help me.
