My dad's creatinine level is really high at 9.8 ml, and the doctor is recommending dialysis. Do you think we should go ahead with dialysis or are there any medicine treatments that could be effective instead?

Dialysis is advised to the patient since the creatinine level is too high than the normal . Also Physician opinion is advised.

Can diabetes affect my kidney health?
With time, raised blood sugar can damage blood vessels in the kidneys as well as nephrons making them not work as well as they should. Many people with diabetes also develop high blood pressure, which can damage kidneys too.
