My father is 77 years old and has been a COPD patient for the past 20 years, under regular medication. Recently, he has been experiencing chills and shivering in the evenings and at night, along with sweating. His blood report suggests oedema in the liver and kidneys. He is currently taking antibiotics for bacterial infections along with paracetamol, but there has been no improvement. Could you please explain the possible reasons for his condition, what further tests might be needed, and what medications or treatments should be considered?

Symptoms suggest ongoing infection or organ stress. Liver and kidney edema may point to fluid overload or systemic illness. Further tests like CRP, creatinine, LFT, chest Xray, and ECG are advised.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test or Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test

View allMy recent blood report shows hemoglobin of 10.1 g/dL, ESR of 15 mm/hr, PCV of 32.6 percent, Salmonella Typhi O at 1:80, Salmonella Typhi H at 1:80, and CRP at 16.3 IU/mL. I have been experiencing watery diarrhea and high fever for the past three days. Additionally, I underwent hip surgery with screws a month ago. Could this be stomach flu, or should I be concerned about typhoid or another infection?

My mother has been experiencing low back pain around the left hip along with a fever ranging from 99 to 100 for the past 25 days. The fever occurs at least twice daily. Her blood reports checked by a general physician are normal, and the spine X ray reviewed by an orthopedic doctor is also normal. Dengue test is negative. What could be the cause, and what further steps should we take?

She has a high fever, swelling around her eyes, and weakness. I have attached her blood report for malaria, which seems normal.
