My father has been suffering from fever for the past 14 days. Two days ago, his blood test confirmed typhoid fever, and the doctor advised continuing the same medication. However, his fever persists continuously at 102 to 104F. I am very worried and tense about his condition. Please advise what should be done now, what he should eat, and how to take care of him during this fever.

Please check my father blood test report. He has been having fever (101F) for the past 3 days. The doctor has prescribed Amoxyclav 625 mg twice a day, and he has been taking it for 1 day. After a high fever, I have severe itching that I am unable to control. All night and day I do not get a single moment of relief. A blood test report shows hemoglobin 10.4 gm percent and ESR (Wintrobe) 38 mm/st. There are no malaria or dengue symptoms. The physician said it is one of the typhoid symptoms, but in typhoid there should not be an itching problem. What could this be?
