My friend has been dealing with gallstones and keeps having bad stomach pain. The doctor recommended surgery, but is that really the only option? Are there other treatments that could help instead of going straight to surgery?

I've been experiencing a really concerning issue whenever I eat. I get this severe pain in my chest, close to where my heart is, right after meals. It seems to get worse when I have spicy foods. I've been really constipated and my USG showed gaseous distension in the stomach are there any treatments besides medicines to get rid of the gas? Like, could surgery or something else help? It's pretty urgent and I'm not sure what to do
