My friend was diagnosed with dengue on 27th May and has since been undergoing treatment. At this point, he no longer has a fever or any major symptoms. However, his platelet count remains low, and he has developed rough, dry skin around his nose and ears. We have attached his most recent blood report for your review. Could you kindly check the report and guide us.

While your friend is clinically better, post dengue platelet recovery can take time. The dry skin around the nose and ears may be a temporary effect of illness or medication. I recommend a follow up CBC to monitor trends and ensure platelets are rising. Hydration and nutrition are also key.

Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a LFT (Liver Function) Test Test

I have lab results of WBC 12.4, platelets 470, MPV 7.1, lymphocytes 3.5. Is this a cause of concern? Please note I also have allergies and I did have a flu shot right before having the blood work done.
