My glaucoma isn't getting better with medication and I'm not sure what to do next. Between PI iridotomy and glaucoma surgery, which one has better long-term results for controlling the condition? I'm worried about making the right choice.

I've had diabetic retinopathy for around a year and already had laser treatment. My doctor is recommending laser surgery with silicone injections, but my diabetes is under control now are there any other options besides surgery that might work better for me?

Yes, there are other options besides laser surgery and silicone injections for managing diabetic retinopathy, particularly if your diabetes is now under control. Anti-VEGF injections and laser treatment are often considered the primary treatments. However, with good blood sugar control, Anti-VEGF injections and further laser treatments can be very effective in stabilizing the disease and reducing vision loss.
