My grandmother has been taking Montek LC for about three months now because she started having a mild cough after her cardiac surgery, due to pleural effusion. I'm just a bit worried about whether there might be any side effects from using this medication for such a long period. Also, can it affect her kidneys in any way?

I'm really worried because I'm having trouble breathing and there's a tightness in my chest, plus my left hand is hurting. I did an HRCT Thorax and it came back normal, but my ECG shows a poor R wave. I'm attaching the report if you could take a look. I'm scheduled for a TAH at Muslim Maternity Hospital and was told to get a cardiologist's opinion for fitness what exactly do they check for and is this something I should be worried about? My surgery is coming up soon and I'm not sure what to expect from the cardiology evaluation
