my husband had mesh inguinal hernia surgery 2 weeks back and stopped all meds as advised but still feels pain inside the surgery area when sitting though it's fine when lying down is this normal and how long until full recovery

I've had this small lump on my stomach for years now and I'm not sure what to do about it. Should I see a skin specialist or just go to my general physician first? Could it be something that needs surgery or is there another way to remove it? It doesn't hurt but I'm starting to get concerned since it's been there so long.

my mom has a 14.5 mm umbilical hernia and i'm confused between open surgery or laparoscopic surgery for her she's also diabetic and has thyroid issues how do i make sure they use a lightweight advanced mesh for her operation
surgery opinion is advised to the patient.
