My little girl is 2 and almost 11 months and just a couple of days ago, she came down with a fever. We got a urine routine test done and the results mentioned that ketones were present at 50.0 mgdl and pus cells are at 10-15 WBCHPF. I'm really worried about the ketones; are they something dangerous? What should I be aware of or do next?

Pre-Pregnancy Concerns and Symptoms
Pregnancy Possibility
- Low risk, but possible: While the risk of pregnancy from non-penetrative sexual activity is low, it's not impossible, especially if there was pre-ejaculation or ejaculation near the vaginal opening.
- Pre-ejaculation fluid can contain sperm: Pre-ejaculation fluid can contain sperm, which can potentially fertilize an egg.
Symptoms and Early Signs of Pregnancy
- Common symptoms: Burps (gas), constipation, nipple pain, and pimple formation can be early signs of pregnancy, but they can also be caused by other factors, such as hormonal changes, stress, or digestive issues.
- Not conclusive evidence: These symptoms alone do not confirm pregnancy.
Next Steps
- Take a pregnancy test: Wait until after your expected period (around 4-5 days after your missed period) and take a home pregnancy test (HPT) or visit a healthcare provider for a blood test.
- Consult a healthcare provider: If you're concerned about pregnancy or experiencing symptoms, consult a healthcare provider for guidance and support.

View allMy little girl is 7 months and a few days old, and she weighs 8.8 kg. She's been having this dry cough, especially noticeable when she sleeps, but otherwise, she's doing great. When she was around 5 months, the doctor recommended maxtra syrup for her cough. Is it okay for me to give her the maxtra syrup now, and if so, what's the appropriate dose for her weight?
That could be due to allergy, try to identify the allergen and avoid it, visit Pediatrician for evaluation and appropriate management and corrected dose and frequency

I'm really worried about my 3.5-month-old baby boy. For the past couple of days, his urine has been white, and the analysis shows there's a large amount of amorphous phosphate present. Do you know what might be causing this? Will it gradually get better on its own, or is there something I should be doing about it?
Protein in urine (proteinuria) can be concerning. *Proteinuria Grade:* 4+ indicates severe proteinuria (nephrotic range) *Possible Causes:* 1. Kidney damage or disease (e.g., nephrotic syndrome) 2. I'm a bit concerned about my baby's skincare routine. Is it safe to apply baby lotion and then use Mamaearth dusting powder on their face? I'm unsure if the combination is okay for sensitive skin. What do you advise?
Yes you can apply no problem
