View allMy baby is one month old and has an inguinal hernia. The doctor recommended surgery but I'm worried is this a minor procedure and is it safe for such a young baby
Surgery is usually necessary to prevent complications like the hernia getting trapped (incarceration) or the blood supply being cut off (strangulation). In this process, the hernia sac is tied off to stop the hernia from protruding further. After surgery, pain management and close monitoring for any issues are crucial

I'm 20 and have fibroadenoma with multiple small lumps in both breasts but one is bigger and needs open surgery I'm worried about scars since I'm not married yet are there any treatments that won't leave marks on my breasts
For the fibroadenoma requiring surgery, the main concern is scarring. While complete avoidance of scarring is impossible, minimally invasive techniques and careful surgical practices can minimize the visible marks. For the smaller, multiple fibroadenomas, cryoablation or vacuum-assisted biopsy might be suitable options.
