My mom has a 2.5cm gallbladder stone is that dangerous and does she need surgery? Also, tests showed swelling in the intestine are these two things related? Would really appreciate some advice

I have appendicitis and my surgery is scheduled in a week doctor said to stick to soft foods until then. Can I have chicken soup and egg whites? What other soft foods are safe to eat during this time?
