My mom has been having really bad stomach pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. Her hemoglobin is low at 7.8 gm, and the sonography showed a bulky uterus. What could be causing these symptoms? Can this be treated with medication or does she need surgery?

Your mom's symptoms, including heavy bleeding, low hemoglobin, and a bulky uterus, suggest conditions like fibroids or adenomyosis. These can often cause anemia and severe pain. Initial treatment may include medications to control bleeding and raise hemoglobin, but surgery like hysterectomy might be needed if symptoms persist or worsen. A gynecologist should evaluate her further.

I'm a 29-year-old woman trying to conceive and I've been married for 3 years Now I have irregular periods since I first got them at 14 I've been taking different kinds of medicines before getting married to try and make them regular After marriage, I started seeing a family gynecologist and then switched to an infertility clinic Usually, I get my periods after taking Regesterone for 10 days and they come about 3 or 4 days after stopping the pills and last for 4 days of full flow This time, there was only slight bleeding for a day at the end of September after starting my period in late August, no full flow like usual recently I was prescribed a low dose of Thyronorm because of high anti-thyroid antibodies and didn't take Estrogen or Progesterone this cycle Could it be the Thyroxine affecting my period or is it because I didn't use the Progesterone pills really confused about what's going on

kindly check your thyroid profile. these can also occur in pcod of ovaries. is your usg abdomen normal?
