View allMy wife has a hole in her eardrum and we're really worried about surgery. Is there any way to heal it with just tablets or medicine, or does it have to be fixed with surgery? Can the hole close on its own without any procedure?
In many cases, a hole in the eardrum (perforation) heals on its own within a few weeks, especially if it's small. If it doesn't heal spontaneously, medical treatment might involve eardrum patches or surgery. Surgery, like tympanoplasty, is typically considered if the eardrum doesn't heal naturally or if there are complications like hearing loss or chronic infections

I'm really concerned about my ear. I had a tympanoplasty about a month ago, and now I'm noticing pus coming from the area. Could this mean that the surgery didn't work, or maybe there's a rupture? I followed all the post-op care instructions my doctor gave me. Can you help me understand what's happening and how I can get better?
That could have got reinfected, you have to use one more course of antibiotics, visit ENT doctor for evaluation and appropriate management

I've been having a sore throat for about three weeks, along with ear pain and swelling on one side of my neck. I've also got tonsil stones, super dry mouth, and I noticed red bumps at the back of my throat and on my tongue. Theres a bit of thrush too. Could all of this be related to candida?
It looks like acute tonsillitis with pharyngitis.
