My mom hasn't been able to sneeze for about 5 or 6 days now. She keeps feeling that sneezy sensation in her nose, but it never actually happens. It's starting to cause her some pain in her chest area. What could be going on and should we be worried?

View allI've got a bit of a situation here. I tried eating a bunch of French fries at once, and I think the sharp edges scratched my throat. Now I've got these little red patches on my throat wall, and it hurts when I swallow. Do you think this will just heal on its own, or should I be taking something for it?
To help with the pain and inflammation, you can try using a throat anesthetic spray to numb the area. Additionally, you can take over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) to reduce the pain and inflammation. Gargling with warm salt water can also help soothe the throat. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it's best to consult with a doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Can sinus cause shortness of breath?
No. Unless it is associated with other lung conditions like COPD

I'm waking up with a really weird sensation, like there's something rubbery or mucus-like stuck in my throat or behind my voice box. I've had post-nasal drip before and even saw an ENT specialist about it. I don't have any allergies. I had a CT scan a couple of months ago, and it showed minimal mucosal thickening in my right maxillary sinus. I also used a Netipot for about a week. Now, I'm dealing with some nasal obstruction. Could this obstruction be the reason for the rubbery mucus feeling?
