My mom's been having some trouble with her breathing lately. There are times when she breathes with a noise. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's concerning. What could be causing this and what should we do about it?

View allI'm having a really hard time breathing comfortably. I can't seem to take a full breath through my nose, and it's really frustrating. I find myself breathing through my mouth a lot, and that's causing issues. I can't figure out what's going on. Could this be something serious, and what should I do about it?

Hey, so I've been having this recurring issue with a cough ever since I had a chest infection back in August 2019. The doctors initially gave me some antibiotics, Augmentin, for 5 days but my cough didn't go away completely. After that, I was on monocef and dexona injections for another 5 days, which did help. But ever since then, my cough keeps coming back sometimes. It's weird because it happens in the morning or just randomly without any trigger, and I'm super careful about avoiding chilled stuff. I had some tests done, and while my CBC was fine, my lymphocytes were a bit high, and my IgE levels were elevated too. Based on this, the doctor suggested it might be allergies and prescribed montelukast and levocetirizine. My x-ray and PFT were fine too. Even after the medication, the cough shows up without warning and then disappears on its own. It's really frustrating, and I'm wondering if there's something more I should be doing to deal with this cough and maybe even bring down the IgE levels. Any advice would be really appreciated.
