My report shows that both ovaries have a polycystic appearance (small cysts amidst normal tissue). The report suggests a polycystic ovarian variant. My right ovary measures 6.7 cc and the left ovary 3.2 cc. Do I have PCOS, and how severe is it? How can it be treated?

Your scan suggests a mild PCOS variant, but diagnosis requires two of three, irregular periods, polycystic ovaries, or high androgens. Your ovarian volumes are not very high, so the severity is likely mild. Treatment depends on symptoms and fertility goals and includes lifestyle changes, metformin, or ovulation induction if trying to conceive.

View allMy follicle scan shows multiple follicles, and my estradiol level is 832. Is this report good or bad? What should be the next treatment step?
Answered by Apollo Doctors
My gynecologist has asked me to undergo a follicular study. I have taken four scans starting from the 5th day of my menstrual cycle. The scan on the 13th day reported the right follicle as 26 mm and the left follicle as 12 mm. How long will it take for the follicle to rupture? Is there any problem with my report?

I am 32 years old and have been trying to conceive for over two years, having experienced a miscarriage in May. My recent HSG report shows that my right fallopian tube is unhealthy and the left tube has hydrosalpinx. Additionally, my TVS report indicates that I have polycystic ovaries. Although my periods are regular, my cycle length varies between 35 to 40 days. I would like to understand my chances of conceiving naturally or through IUI given these findings, and whether laparoscopic surgery is mandatory to improve my fertility outcomes.
