My ten month old baby boy weighs ten kilograms and has been getting fever every eight to twelve hours for the last five days. CRP, CBC, and dengue reports are normal. The urine test report is also normal. I am giving 1.3 ml of Calpol drops. The fever goes down after the syrup, but comes back after eight to twelve hours. What should I do?

Recurrent fever despite normal reports could be viral or post viral. Monitor hydration and activity. Continue Calpol as needed. If fever persists for more than 5 days, repeat CBC, CRP, and Urine R/M. If fever is still unexplained, do blood cultures to rule out occult infections.
Dr. Kamran Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

I recently had some tests done. My main symptoms are feeling feverish (slightly warm body), weakness/loss of energy, and slight giddiness. My reports show: ESR is 27 (normal 0 to 19), increased RBC (erythrocytosis), increased platelets (thrombocytosis), and very low Vitamin D3 (7.54). What could be the cause of increased RBC, platelets, and ESR? Does this indicate an active infection in the body?
