In my test report dated 1 August, my iron level was 32, hemoglobin was 12.5, and weight was 58.9 kg. I started taking medicine for iron deficiency. Today I got my test done and my hemoglobin has reduced to 11 and my weight is 58 kg. What is the reason for the reduced weight and hemoglobin? Also, every evening my body temperature rises to 99 to 100. What is the reason?

Fluctuating hemoglobin and low grade fever may indicate underlying infection, inflammation, or poor iron absorption. You should take a CBC with ESR, Ferritin, and CRP test to evaluate inflammation and iron storage.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a CBC+ESR Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

View allMy father has been suffering from fever for the past 14 days. Two days ago, his blood test confirmed typhoid fever, and the doctor advised continuing the same medication. However, his fever persists continuously at 102 to 104F. I am very worried and tense about his condition. Please advise what should be done now, what he should eat, and how to take care of him during this fever.
