My uvula is really big and pointy, and sometimes it feels like there's something stuck in my throat. Could this be causing my nose to block up? Is surgery needed for something like this?

View allI'm dealing with a really bad throat infection and my doctor prescribed Azithromycin 500 mg for 5 days. I'm a bit worried about taking antibiotics for that long. Is it really okay to take Azithromycin for 5 days straight? Does it help with throat infections, or should I be looking out for anything in particular while I'm on it?
Azithromycin 500mg is prescribed for 3 days for most bacterial infections, but a 5-day course may be recommended for certain conditions, such as streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat); since your doctor has prescribed it for 5 days for your throat infection, it's likely appropriate, but always follow their instructions and complete the full course.

I'm having this weird issue where my ears make sounds after I sneeze. I've already finished my cold meds, but my nose is still blocked, especially in the mornings. Plus, I have this minor cough that comes and goes. What should I do?
your symptoms seem to be consistent with residual effects from a cold, like nasal congestion and Eustachian tube dysfunction, but if they persist or worsen, its important to seek further medical advice. In the meantime, using saline sprays, staying hydrated, and addressing the congestion with decongestants or steam inhalation should help improve your symptoms.

I've had an inflamed soft palate for nearly a month now, and Im 14 weeks pregnant. Ive had chest X-rays and a CT scan with contrast recently which makes me nervous. I struggle with health anxiety and worry it might be throat or esophagus cancer. The doctors think its probably just a bit irritated from reflux or post-nasal drip, and there are no swollen nodes or mouth ulcersjust some itching and no pain. Should I be worried about this, or would asking for a biopsy for peace of mind be too much?
your present complaint need local examination to give any opinion..I would recommend to follow your doctor's advice and stop worrying..
