My wife has been having frequent pain in the center of her abdomen and was diagnosed with gallstones. The pain has been happening a lot over the last 23 days should we consider surgery soon or are there other options like medication to manage it?

I've been dealing with a right irreducible inguinal hernia where the pain starts in my lower abdomen and goes all the way to my right scrotum and testis. This has been going on for about 8-9 months, with episodes lasting 6-7 days every 2-3 months.
