My wife was diagnosed with multinodular goiter 1 year ago. Her thyroid report is normal. FNAC was also done. Some doctors are suggesting surgery while others suggest wait and watch. My concern is, after the operation, will my wife have to take thyroid medicine for her whole life? FNAC report and USG report are attached.

Multinodular goiter with normal thyroid reports and FNAC often needs only monitoring. Surgery is advised if there is difficulty in swallowing, rapid growth, or cosmetic concerns. If the entire thyroid is removed, lifelong thyroid medication will be needed. If only part of the thyroid is removed, medication may not be required. You can book a Thyroid Profile test to check current thyroid function before deciding on surgery.

Hello Doctor, I am a thyroid patient (hypothyroidism) and take my medication regularly. However, I have been experiencing severe hyperpigmentation, and it seems to be worsening day by day. Could you please advise on the possible causes and what can be done to manage it?
