Respected doctor, my 53 year old mother experienced high blood pressure today at 150/105, with a previous reading of 170/120 accompanied by headaches and a mild fever on August 2nd. She was doing well until now. Our entire family showed COVID symptoms in early August, and I tested positive, but we have since recovered. I am concerned about why her blood pressure is still high nearly a month later. She is currently taking Telsite 40 mg after breakfast. A 2D echo done a year ago showed excellent heart health. Our family doctor has advised doubling her Telsite dose to one tablet in the morning and one after lunch. I am seeking a second, honest opinion regarding this advice. I have attached her latest blood report taken on the day she had high BP and severe headache. Thank you and God bless.

BP fluctuation can occur post illness. Do not change dose without medical supervision. Recommend ECG and kidney function test to rule out secondary causes. Regular BP tracking is important.
