So I've been noticing this odd smell like something is burning even though nothing actually is, and it's kind of freaking me out. Plus, I've got a mild headache and I'm dealing with GERD. Could this all be related, or should I be worried about something else going on?

I've been diagnosed with a 3.5mm L5 S1 disc bulge causing sciatic nerve pain in my right leg. Is there any way to cure this permanently without surgery? How long might it take to recover with non-surgical treatments?
