Is Tenovate a steroid cream? I came across two types: Tenovate cream base and Tenovate ointment base. I was told to use the cream base for my eczema blisters, but because of the dry weather, I switched to the ointment without talking to my doctor. Was that a mistake? Also, I've heard about Clobetasol being a steroid, is that true?

View allI've been dealing with genital ringworm and initially, it was incredibly itchy. After seeing a doctor and getting the right medication, the itchiness has eased up. But I'm really worried about the scars that are still there. It's been three months, and they just don't seem to be going away. What can I do to help clear these scars up?
To help clear the scars left from genital ringworm, you can use a topical antifungal cream containing Clotrimazole 1% twice daily on the affected area. In addition, you can also apply a skin lightening cream containing Hydroquinone 4% once daily to help fade the scars. Make sure to apply sunscreen during the day to protect the skin. If the scars persist or worsen, consult a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment.

I've got this burn on my right hand from spilling hot water a while back. I've been using silverkind ointment as the doctor suggested, but now I'm seeing these red pigments pop up and there's this constant itching. Is this normal, or should I be worried?
It sounds like you may be experiencing an allergic reaction to the silver sulfadiazine in the Silverkind ointment. I recommend stopping the ointment immediately and washing the affected area with mild soap and water. You can apply a topical corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% cream to reduce inflammation and itching. Additionally, taking an oral antihistamine like Cetirizine 10mg once daily can help with the itching. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please consult your doctor for further evaluation and management.

I woke up this morning with a rash that kind of looks like a rat bite. I've noticed a rat in my room before and I've been using rat poison to try to deal with it. I didn't wake up last night and the wound hasn't bled or anything. Should I be worried or do anything about it?
