Is there a way to get rid of warts without surgery? What creams or medicines work best for removing them at home?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Nonprescription wart removal products such as salicylic acid are available as pads, gels and liquids. For common warts, look for a 17% salicylic acid solution

View allMy husband has this patch on his scalp, and he's been using salisia ds ointment that his dermatologist recommended. Now the area's turned red where he's been applying the cream. What could be causing that?
Redness after applying a topical ointment is not uncommon, but its essential to monitor the reaction and seek medical advice if the irritation continues or spreads. The doctor might want to adjust the treatment plan based on his skins response.

I'm really worried because I have super sensitive, acne-prone skin and I just started using ACNESTAR soap since I have pimples almost everywhere on my body. I've also been applying pure aloe vera and leaving it on overnight, plus I began drinking Safi from yesterday. But last night, my skin was really itchy. Could this itchiness be from the soap, or maybe it's from combining the soap, Safi, and aloe vera all at once? I'm not sure what to do. Can you give me some advice, please?
ACNESTAR soap contains Salicylic Acid which can sometimes cause skin irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin. Safi is an herbal blood purifier and can sometimes cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Using multiple products together can also sometimes lead to skin irritation. I would recommend stopping the ACNESTAR soap for now and see if the itching improves. You can continue using the aloe vera gel before sleeping as it is generally soothing for the skin. As for Safi, you can also stop it temporarily to see if the itching subsides.

I'm using Melanocyl ointment for my vitiligo as prescribed by my doctor, but I've developed a sore and a reddish patch on the area I'm treating. My doctor is currently on leave. What should I do about the sore?
Seems like you may be experiencing a reaction to the Melanocyl ointment. You can try using a mild corticosteroid cream like Hydrocortisone 1% cream on the sore area to reduce inflammation and itching. Apply a thin layer twice a day for a week. Additionally, you can use an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin to prevent infection. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry. If the symptoms persist or worsen, please consult with another healthcare provider for further evaluation and management.
