What does significant STT changes in an ECG mean and is it safe for me to proceed with a hystero laparoscopy surgery
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Significant ST-T changes on an ECG, meaning abnormal ST-segment and T-wave tracings, can indicate various cardiac issues or be a normal variant. Whether it's safe to proceed with a hystero laparoscopy surgery with these changes depends on the specific cause and severity of the ST-T changes, as well as your overall health

View allI'm really confused about my TMT report. It says the test is negative, but one doctor mentioned it might actually be positive. The cardiologist did an echo test too, and that turned out normal. He said there's nothing to worry about, but I'm still concerned. Could you help me understand if there's anything in the TMT that I should be worried about?
If the report mentions TMT negative, it indicates a normal result where no significant changes were observed during the test. Since your cardiologist also conducted an echo test which came back normal and reassured you that there is nothing to worry about, it is unlikely that there is a cause for concern regarding your TMT results. It is important to follow your cardiologist's advice and continue with any recommended follow-up appointments or tests. If you have any further concerns, please consult with your cardiologist for personalized advice.

I'm still experiencing this pin-pointing chest pain even though my ECG was normal and my cholesterol level dropped from 207 to 140 after some diet changes. I also got a TMT done and it was negative. But now, the pain seems to be spreading to my left hand too. What could be causing this?
"Based on your symptoms and test results, it is possible that you may be experiencing musculoskeletal pain or nerve-related pain rather than a cardiac issue. You can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen for the chest and left hand pain. Additionally, you can use a muscle relaxant like Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) to help with any muscle tension contributing to the pain. It is also important to continue following a healthy diet and lifestyle to maintain your cholesterol levels. If the pain persists or worsens, it would be advisable to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management."
